Ok, so today I started to make my own Talkbox.
A talkbox is a vocal effect tool which you hook up to your instrument and with that, kinda controll your voice and pitch. Real talkbox's also have effects like extra vibrato but because I'm making my own, I won't have that.
Ok so what do you need? First of is a sound source, a pair of old computer speakers is enough. Some duct tape, two bowls (the other one a little bigger then the first one) and at last a tube!
Today, day one, I'll go through the first step, the audio source.
1. I found this old speaker in our basement which works perfectly. So first disassemble the speaker.
2. Ok, now it'll look like this. Ugly I know, so how do we get rid off the big ol' white plastic box? Well, just cut the cord in two.
3. Now, make the electrical pins visible so we can make the cord whole again, just use a simple now.
4. Now twist the pins back together and then tape it. Just like the picture.
5. Ok, now it's done! I also taped the two cords together after I taped them for themself. Just to be sure they won't fall apart.
